April brings more than 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse to her coaching process. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami. Early in her career she completed Master’s level studies in complementary medical therapies at Regis College. Her experience includes caring for patients ranging in age from newborn to the elderly in a private practice setting. She has also cared for patients in all stages of health at major medical facilities in Florida, Massachusetts, and New York in the specialty areas of Post-Surgical Intensive Care, Post-Anesthesia/Recovery, and Surgery.
She is a Board Certified Integrative Nurse Coach and graduate from the International Nurse Coach Association. Inspired by the coaching process, she furthered her training and completed a year long program with the Quantum Success Coaching Academy. It was here where she learned guided meditation, powerful mind body processes, future visioning techniques, and how to create energetic alignment towards life goals and desires.
April has been working in the domain of Integrative and Functional Medicine for many years and has been trained by leaders in the field. She continues to research holistic methods that heal and optimize health. More recently, April has completed training in biofeedback and has become a Certified HeartMath Coach.
She works within a holistic model, where all aspects of lifestyle, mind, body and spirit are considered essential and integral components of the care and healing process. Lifestyle drivers are explored and measurable goals are set in areas such as weight loss, nutritional guidance, movement, self-care, stress management, increasing energy and restoring balance. She has experience working with individuals who have chronic health issues and those who are seeking to avoid disease states through a natural approach.
